In one week, I 'll have my Masters in Creative Art Therapy. whew, I thought this day would never come...I've been busy this year, tackling the tasks and trying not to make mountians out of molehills. I'm famous for exaggerating, but really, I've been so busy with my gradaute assistantship, internship, classes, and weekend job responsibilities, that I am ready for a vacation. I'm going home for about a week after gradaution. I hope I get a chance to mellow out and relax. I have a long list of people I would like to see, so I hope that can manage my time in an orderly fashion, so I don't leave anyone out.
Remember that 15 page "ball and chain" of a paper i had to write for my alw class? I got it back last week and I got and A/A-. Pretty amazing huh? I was so excited, really, for the first time, I thought, hey, I have potential to be a marriage and family therapist! The course work is extremely intense for me, it requires so much of my time and since time is of the essence, I have to balance a lot. Transitioning into a full-time job, moving all my belongings here, making NY my home for a few more years....this is my life!!!
I also wanted to mention my great uncle (this would be my grandmother's first husband's sister's husband) just past away last week in Maryland. I was very close to my Aunt and uncle as a child. They brought rays of sunshine into many of my summers. Party because they spoiled us with gifts and trips to the local icecream shop, but more importantly, because they gave me that feeling that i was loved and important to them. I didn't have many connections with my father or mother's side of the family-so when they came to visit each summer, I loved having them in my life. So, My great Aunt Elvira and Uncle Earl were huge blessings and I will never forget how they loved me.
