I love Crispin Webb

Yeah...

I have been in tears throughout much of the day. Multiple pieces of Crispin's artwork sits in my apartment. I have a small white box he painted and it contains a few things and a personal message.

After hearing the news of his passing early this morning...on Thanksgiving Day, I have carefully picked up the white box several times, each time, remembering how much I loved him and knowing that he loved me too...

I went home a few times recently and missed seeing Crispin. It was on one of my recent trips in Ohio, that I found myself sorting through some of my belongings that have been in storage for over three years. I came across a letter that Crispin wrote to me during the summer of 1999. I tucked the letter in a book and brought it back to NY with me. After hearing the news this morning, I came home and looked for the letter--- I haven't re-opened it yet---but it's now tucked on my ARTalum board in my kitchen, next to one of our infamous group pictures from one of our infamous retreats.

Crispin has left me with a legacy of love that I will never forget and I will always be inspired to share it with others. We may wonder why it was his time, today...when he had so much love and inspiration to share with the world...the most I know, is that Crispin loved the LORD with all his HEART, SOUL and MIND and he loved people. Every single one of us.

May we love so lavishly and unaldulterated, that Crispin will be honored through our actions.

Crispin, I will miss everything about you, especially our very long phone calls and how you described the smallest detail with such fervor and wonder. I will always remember our trip to Italy in 1999 and your trip to NY for your Bard interview-when we ate pizza and sat on the sidewalk, your huge hugs-that even I....learned to love, and I will always remember your passion for serving the Lord in everything you lived and created. I will always love you Crispin Webb.
