So many types of "things" have been on my mind lately. I sat in starbucks today, trying to read a book about leadership, and all I could feel was the coolness from the vent above me and the softness of the chair that consumed me, as my mind drifted over the entire span of ten years.
Honestly, I can't help but make considerations as I approach 30 this month!
I keep thinking about everything I expereinced in my twenties. I traveled to Italy, lived in Brooklyn, San Francisco and New York, I visited Minnesota, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Los Angeles and Kansas, I got my driver's license(at 25!), I worked at a daycare and taught 4 year olds and changed diapers on 2 year olds, I served with Americorps, I worked with the Ohio Arts Council, I taught art classes, I moved to NY for graduate school, I fell in love (and out of love), I graduated with my Masters in Creative Art Therapy, I got my first full time job with benefits, I reconnected with my brother after a long break of 14 years, I became an aunt (3x), I experienced the loss of four very special people in my life (my grandparents and my friends Cripsin and Candace), I helped to start an organization to raise money for art schoalrships, I have painted continually (sold a few paintings, was in one group show, and a few smaller exhibits), saw the macy parade inflatables(but missed the actual parade), participated in New Year's at Times square, and have flown between NY and Ohio more times than I can remember!!!
So, what will my 30's be like? I hope for so much more...
