The last four days have been both sorrowful and joyful. As Art alum, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ, we embraced each other and recalled memories of our beloved Crispin. There's nothing like knowing that the ring of community encircles us like the rings around Saturn.
Perhaps the most precious description of Crispin att he Memorial Service was stated by OSU professor and Artist, Michael Mercil, who said that upon Crispin's return in August after finishing his MFA in Sculpture at Bard , he said to Michael that 50 miracles happened to him over the summer. Michael said he knew without a doubt that Crispin was telling the truth---but he also couldn't help but think that Crispin could be a miracle happening to him.
Isn't that how we all felt/feel about Crispin?
Indeed, he was a miracle and so much more---
