hands of time

It's been a while and I suppose I have a lot of explaining to do...

About the future, nothing is etched in stone at the moment, but I'm considering a job here and if it works out this time (meaning, my hopes have been dashed before), I will stay in New York.

This surprises me, mostly because I was making serious plans to go home and start my life! What I am beginning to understand that life began quite a while ago....

I will become a NEW YORKER! That's something I didn't imagine saying. I have grown tremendously in the past few months...if my job goes as planned, I will be making strides towards my future that I have
been unable to make.

Of course, this means that I will be here for 2 to 3 more years, but what's three years compared to the rest of my life?

I am going to get my counseling license while I am here and work towards building a savings. Sounds like a plan, huh?

I am staying busy right now, working at a local hospital for my art therapy intership, continuing my graduate assistantship, and going to classes! Yesterday was the first day off I have had in three weeks. I am not exaggerating this time! I am keeping so busy! I have been drawing but I haven't been painting...which I should have attempted to do yesterday, but I've been relaxing and catching up on tasks like laundry, cleaning, and studying.

So that's it for now, I'll check in again when I can.
